SOMA-50

SOMA-50 is the first large-scale aerogel manufacturing device produced by SunThru LLC. Its purpose is to prove the scalability of aerogel manufacturing for affordable, widespread commercial use. As part of a five-member team of engineers, I led the design of the automation and electrical systems for SOMA-50, while assisting in the design of molds and aerogel handling equipment.
